I don't need to pay for this. Who is to say that I get the refurbished model and it won't do the same thing. I just unplug the power cord from left rear and plug it back in and it always works. Will not power up.
I've tried moving the white assembly and moving the print head back and forth. All the gray sponges seem to be in place, but it (MP800) wont feed paper from the top tray. Well worth having ink all over my fingers!!!! Put it all back together and you are good to go.Some people have a difficult time getting the printhead out. Find more help at Contact Us.

I can't find anyone to fix it, so right now it is useless. That is why you'll find the print head assembly parked on top of it. Is it likely to be some problem with the rollers or some foreign object that somehow got into the way? Exact same story for me with a new MP970. I have tried manually moving the cartridge, as suggested, nothing works to get rid of the error. I got laid off and have only had this printer for 7 months.
