Casio Lens Error Problem

When you looked at it the lens "hole" was sideways and it would not retract completely inside the camera. I tried to push the lens towards the widest gap and heard a click. If not, remove the batteries and continue to step 11 where you have full access to the ribbon cable connector.
Casio Exilim Lens Error

After my first try yesterday evening, the canera refused to switch on again... i tried all of these but my camera still did not want to work. Turned off camera and performed slightly-more-than-gentle twisting of the lens. I suspect I got some sand in the lens because the lens wouldn't close and just say 'lens error' and 'retry power on'. It must have gotten damaged when I dropped my camera. Since the gears will have to be put back into their casing when replacing the lens, it may be helpful to write down where each gear goes. May 28, 2008 at 10:01 PM mai said... Remove the two silver phillips screws (4.36 mm) from the back of the lens. A pin can be useful to dislodge any grit or dirt stuck in between the teeth of the gears.
