Casio Lens Error 2
First here's a video summary of most of these fixes, and following that a detailed text description of the fixes. I dropped it today and the lens is stuck fully out. The lens is now ready to cleaned and maintained or replaced with a new one. it broke at the end of a linkin park concert, but im so happy i got fantastic pics off the memory card :)guess i better get a new camera now lol http://winnport.com/casio-exilim/casio-lens-error-2-fix.html
If it's too costly to repair, and you have no other option, you might want to consider retrying the last too fixes (tapping the camera, and forcing the lens). If you hear this click, immediately stop and try the camera. I AUTOMATICALLY SEARCHED UP ON GOOGLE. THEN I TURNED IT ON AND IT WORKED!

I didn't think it would. Again, this didn't work for me, I suspect the grit has ended up in the cogwheels below the barrels. At least now i don't have to buy a new camera.
You can send me an e-mail if you'd like some info specific to your camera. While doing any of the above, listen for a click that indicates that the lens barrel guide pins may have reseated in their guide slots. Pay particular care not to scratch your lens barrel with the needle. Take out the phillips screw (1.77 mm) holding on the bottom plastic piece. Fix #2: If the camera's batteries ran down completely while its lens was still open, the camera may show a lens error or not start properly when new batteries are installed. But if they quote you a number that's higher than the value of your camera, you may want to consider the following methods. If your camera is still under warranty, send your camera to the manufacturer to be replaced or fixed professionally.2. Step 1 Camera Casing Edit Remove the strap from the camera by pulling the thin cord out, creating a small loop, then pushing the thicker cord back through this loop. At this point the lens should be connected to the camera solely by two orange plastic strips. This will indicate that the lens popped back in place.
The quoted repair cost is usually close to or more than what the camera is actually worth. Attempt to gently straighten or align the barrel if it's crooked or twisted. You can only upload videos smaller than 600MB. That must have reset the error status in the camera.

I finally fixed it by holding the "OK" button and turning the camera on. But you mention that you want the pictures from your camera. Usually w/o any parts. Can't view anything other than the start-up screen.
